Jon Cooper aka Jon Pleased Wimmin – World Class DJ - Drag Queen - Music Addict

There will be those who need no introduction to Jon however, there will be those who are yet to discover what he’s all about. 

Studied Fashion at London School of Art. Graduated in the late 80’s. Early 90’s The Pleased Wimmin was born. A drag cabaret trio formed with two college friends. Performing at Kinky Gerlinky London’s renowned club where clubbing culture met outrageous fashion and 'out there' drag.

Jon was encouraged by darling of the gay scene designer turned DJ Rachel Auburn who was also close friends to club performer & model Leigh Bowery. DJ Danny Rampling spotted the trio at Kinky Gerlinky. Loved them and asked them to be dancers for his Glam party at The Milk Bar. Danny realised Jon held a deep passion for music and offered him a six week warm up slot at the club.  Jon and his drag were an instant hit and things took off from there receiving DJ bookings from all corners of the globe. Quickly becoming one of the worlds’ most sought after DJs headlining at many famous venues Cream, Back to Basics, Renaissance, Fabric along with multiple International club tours. 

Jon hosted, promoted & held residency at Pleased London a night of his own creation, often frequented by the likes of Boy George, Blur, Depeche Mode, the Pet Shop Boys and Pete Burns. 

Having taken a break from DJing Jon is now back on the world scene DJing at some of the largest club nights and festivals with his eclectic taste and extensive knowledge of pop and dance music he delivers sets with many different styles, blending anything enchanting, uplifting, funky or progressively energetic. 

We are super excited that Jon is joining us and bringing his interpretation to our Qwerky sound.
