Brand new location for Worker Bee Markets

Brand new location for Worker Bee Markets

Worker Bee Markets’ Clare Simpson is creating a Buzz around quality crafts and artists, fresh local produce and handmade and homemade goods. A brand new event at Nixon’s Farm Shop, Outwood Farm, SK8 3PS will take place on 15 July 2018 from 11am-3pm.

Upto 40 contemporary designer makers and producers have been selected to create a market with an unenviable selection of artwork, cakes and sweet treats, cooking ingredients, plants, jewellery, ceramics, fresh produce and homeware. Enjoy fantastic homemade food and a coffee from the cafe at Nixon’s Farm Shop and bring the kids to play in Nixon's Playroom too.

Traders will bring freshly baked bread, churned butter, veg boxes and British cheese, vegan skincare, jewellery, crafts and candles. There will be locally blended teas, gourmet sausage rolls and Mediterranean pastries, flavoured gins and treats for dogs and small pets, as well as cake, cheesecake and icecream!

The most local artisans include Roots Skincare from Cheadle, Lemon Drizzle Tea & Cakes from Bramhall, Lily Grace Designs from Woodford, Cheshire Bakehouse from Cheadle Hulme, Kate O'Brien Art from Edgeley, Lucy Burgess Art from Woodsmoor and Salkini Homemade Food from Wilmslow.

The mission is to bring Artisan Makers and Producers to local communities, making it easier for people to shop local and meet the makers and producers in person. Rather than expecting people to travel, the locations are easily accessible by foot for local residents.

The future is to find other communities who want to support local businesses too. Worker Bee market is in discussion with other communities in the Stockport and South Manchester area.
