Big Scrum returns

Big Scrum returns

The Big Scrum, Rugby & Sport it is finally coming back to Manchester! But why did it take so long, i hear you ask? With the sad closure of Legends club, there was a loss of a great venue for club nights such as The Big Scrum. I wanted to keep the night on a Saturday, as a lot of guys travel to Manchester from as far as London and Scotland. However, I was not willing to compromise with where I hold the event.

I wanted somewhere special, with a great lay out - to keep the great atmosphere that you get at Big Scrum nights. Also, to keep the events within the Gay Village. I've looked long and hard for a suitable Saturday venue, but didn't see anything I was 100% happy with. So I put it to the guys on the facebook page - what's their view on moving to  Friday night?  To my surprise, the response to having it on a Friday was really positive - it turns out that it's a lot cheaper to travel!

With this news, the hunt was back on! My thoughts turned straight to Cruz 101 - for their Sub 101 section down stairs. It's a great space, just right for The Big Scrum and it's also right at the heart of the gay Village. I approached the guys there ans they really took to the idea of having Big Scrum there.

Once all the details were agreed, the ball got rolling into bringing the night back to life. The first event at the new venue will be FRIDAY 5TH APRIL and will be on the first Friday of every month there after.
