THE BIGGEST PINK DOG SHOW IN THE WORLD

On Sunday 21 August, Manchester and Cheshire Dogs’ Home has teamed up with Barking Barbers to present the world’s biggest annual Pink Dog Show from 12pm – 4pm in Manchester’s Sackville Gardens. Spectators can cheer on the pampered pooches free of charge and competition entry costs only £3 per dog. Registration takes place at 11am.
This annual Manchester Pride Festival event for all four legged friends attracted over 1,000 spectators in 2010, and raised significant funds for the Manchester and Cheshire Dogs’ Home. 
The theme for this year’s Pink Dog Show is ‘Fairy Tails’ and the categories for the competition will be: ‘Best in Theme’, ‘Most Handsome Butch’, ‘Prettiest Bitch’ and ‘Best Trick’. All classes will be over seen by an ‘X Factor’ style judging panel, comprising of ‘Pickles’ the dog, Belinda Scandal, and our very own  ‘Paris Hilton’ headed by Celebrity Vet ‘Marc Abrahams. The first place winner from each category will receive a prize and the King and Queen of the show will receive lavish prizes fit for any royal canine.
Angel Moore director of Barking Barbers that is presenting this years’ show says “This years’ show is going to be even bigger and better.” An exciting entertainment lineup has been added with acts such as Damian, Bosom Buddies, Ben Heyworth and The Prairie Dogs. As well as a dog hospitality tent with non alcoholic ‘Dog Beer’ and homemade cookies.
