Bi-Visibility Day
What do you mean by, bi?
LGBT Youth North West are hosting a collection of activities and discussions to mark Bi Visibility Day on 23rd September. The youth group at their usual Tuesday evening group sessions will be looking at some research recently gained by the outreach workers at the Urbis and studies from around the world about bisexuality in young people.
A recent survey at the Sheena Amos Youth Trust it was revealed that 60% of young people asked identified as bisexual.
"We know a significant number of young people in Manchester do too, so it is crucial that we ensure our provisions are inclusive, open and welcoming to young bisexual people" said Sally Carr MBE from LGBT Youth North West.
The youth group will be looking at what it means to be bisexual now, and what has changed for bisexual people on Tuesday 24th September.
