Arts hub opens

Arts and Music for ALL and the Arts Hub Official Trailer.

Following a successful viewing and registration day on 25th January, The Arts Hub in Failsworth is now open and workshops have officially begun. Performance Plaza has been running in Oldham since 2005, but this is the first time the organisation has had a dedicated venue to run workshops and sessions.

The Arts Hub is a community asset saved, with dedication and donations from individuals and businesses across Oldham, as well as various successful funding bids. This has allowed for the building to receive much needed work to make it fit for purpose. The Arts Hub is offering an ever expanding range of arts opportunities, for people of all ages; a first of its kind in the North West.

Founder, Paul Burgess said “There’s no doubt all aspects of the arts can be magical, and people’s lives are the better for it! Our drama and guitar workshops have already begun, and we still have some space available in our teen and adult guitar sessions, there’s also a little space left in our drama sessions,  so now's the time to give us a call and get involved”.

Performance Plaza has plans to run a broad range of workshops/sessions over the coming months, including creative writing, poetry, song writing, film making and music recording, as well as the creation and development of a choir and a fortnightly LGBT social session.

As these workshops and social session begin they will be added to the workshops page of our website at www.plaza.org.uk.

You can contact Paul and Jason to sign up, or just get more information via email, info@plaza.org.uk or call 0161 621 0160 / 07867 666 789
