Announcement from Oscars

And the Oscars goes to . . . .

There are always rumours and ‘jungle drums’ around ‘The Village’, so what’s the latest NEWS?

Oscars Bar on Canal Street, was created 5 years a go by current owner Bruce Ward. Since then the bar has carved out a successful niche in ‘The Village’ for an LGBT+ community and their friends, who enjoy Musical Theatre and Cocktails.

During his recent birthday bash at the bar, Mr Ward announced his engagement to his Norwegian Boyfriend.

It will probably not come as a surprise then, to the many regular customers of Oscars Bar, that Mr Ward is now looking to relocate to Norway, and has decided to put the business on the market.

With numerous new developments and changes in ‘The Village’ area, it seems the ideal time and place, for someone looking to continue and build on a solid business reputation.

Mr Ward is selling the business as a going concern, and wants the ethos of Oscars, as well as the name to continue.

What could be next for Mr Ward? Oscars in Oslo? Who knows . . .
