A little bit of magic

A little bit of magic

A little Bit of Magic Comes to Manchester.....

Zombie Magic that is......

The artists and sculptors of Zombie Bakers, Shelley and Michelle will take your body and turn it into "stone".

The girls explain,

"We take a mold of your body, any part (ahem!) and then using aggregates cast them into the mold to fix you or your loved ones in time, the sculpture doesn't age unlike people do.  It is surprising the variety of requests we get and most of which we can accommodate."

The most unusual to date was a customer who is a runner, we took molds of his face, hands, feet and bottom.  Once all the tidying, undercutting and bronzing was done the sculpture was installed in his home, but with a twist. As you walked into his house you saw his face, hands and toes emerging from the wall, when you walked into the lounge you saw his ankle and cheeky bit of bottom going into the wall.  As you can imagine it is a major conversation piece and utterly unique.

What we do the most are hands, usually for anniversaries or to celebrate civil partnerships. The first time we cast hands professionally was a revelation.  We were chatting and laughing with the guys as the hand cast was to celebrate their fifth anniversary, but as the mold set, they went very quiet, the hairs on the back of our necks stood on end.  They were emotional, they never even dreamed twenty five years ago that they would ever be allowed to get married, never mind celebrate their deep, abiding love on their fifth anniversary.

If you would like to celebrate a special event such as an anniversary, civil partnership or birthday contact us on zombiebakers111@yahoo.com
