10th for Sparkle

10th for Sparkle

This year Sparkle, the nations biggest and most loved Transgender festival celebrates its 10th anniversary. With a very special two-day outdoor concert in Sackville Gardens, Manchester visitors will see many wonderful performers, unique acts and hear for the first time the official Sparkle 10th Anniversary song.

Being penned and performed by Laura Christou and composed by herself and some nationally recognised award-winning producers, the Sparkle Anniversary Anthem will help to raise money for the Sparkle charity and celebrate in style everything the festival represents.

However we need your help to complete the song! We want the song to be as unique as Sparkle itself and represent all your hopes and dreams of a brighter future. Therefore we'd like you to write in a short paragraph 'What Sparkle mean to you?' Laura Christou and her team will then draw on these messages to complete the Sparkle song.

A short preview of the song will be released in the run up to the Sparkle in the Park event and then you will be able to hear the full version of the song live on stage in Sackville Gardens as part of the amazing 10th anniversary opening ceremony on Saturday 12th July 2014.

To write your message of 'What Sparkle means to me?' simply go to the top of the page and click on the 'Sparkle Means' page.
